Mike Hales (Snr) is the author of two books awaiting an enlightened publisher.  One is a novel, ‘Cat’, described by the author as ‘an airport bonkbuster’ and the other a non-fiction book ‘Age Before Beauty’ which attempts to inform, educate and entertain the reader about working on into older age.  The latter has also become a website ‘Third Breath’ (http://thirdbreath.wordpress.com) to provide a forum for like-minded baby-boomers to find succour and support for working on.

Mike is a top-level marketing and communications person who has survived journalism, the music and fashion industries, media in the form of radio and television, directing the marketing and communications of the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester, and charitable work
